Ten mistakes you should avoid that hurt your muscle gain in the gym

There are many exercising mistakes that can happen at the gym and they are all related to how you work out. Everyone is human and mistakes happen, even to the muscular guy that arrives at the gym three hours before you do. Just take care of yourself and make sure that you exercise at your own speed so you don’t end up injured. Exercise injuries can affect all the other activities in your life.

Don’t exercise too hard just to burn off extra calories.

If you are up for a challenge, work on a certain exercise a little longer than normal but do not go over your normal pace or you will end up injured.

There are many people that feel that they are not exercising intensely enough.

They think that by going faster than their normal pace it will help them achieve the changes quicker but they end up not getting the results they wanted at all.

People that have bad posture can get hurt at the gym.

When using a machine you need to make sure that you are sitting up as straight as possible so that you prevent any back strains and a trip to the chiropractor.

Don’t use just your bodies momentum to lift your goal weight.

You should lift with your muscles and go slowly with controlled movements that can help you achieve the muscle tone that you desire.

There are people out there that are lifting way too much when they start.

When you cannot complete the full rep you are trying to life too much weight. Lighten up the amount of weight you are trying to lift to a weight that provides resistance without straining your muscles.

Most people do not stretch first.

When you stretch the muscles before working out, it helps warm the muscle and reduces any injuries. It also increases the length of the muscle and its mobility when stretched correctly.

A lot of people skip the cooling down of the muscles.

After working out you need to lower your heart rate and cool down the muscles. It helps decrease the amount of dizziness that can appear afterwards,

When you don’t warm up correctly, injuries happen.

When a person jumps right into their routine with both feet is they are prone to become exhausted and hurt. By warming the muscles up, you help the muscle get ready for more strenuous activity.

Dehydration can happen when you don’t drink enough water.

The key to exercising is making sure you are hydrated throughout the whole exercise routine.

By staying away from a complete meal before you work out you can boost your metabolism. Eat a full meal when your body has recovered.
