Six eating habits that are killing your muscle gain

You may or may not be a bodybuilder that is currently training to get great results in the hopes of showing off your muscles to everyone while wearing your muscle shirt. There are eating habits that you don’t want to follow because they will lessen your chance of building those strong muscles that you want. If you don’t deal with the bad eating habits first, they will come back and get you, making you sick or even causing you to pull or tear a muscle.

1) When you are trying to lose some weight, it is not a good idea to grab a snack before bed. You may choose the wrong food for a snack such as carbohydrates that are simple sugars. When you are sleeping there are very few calories that are burnt. Staying away from food before bed will help you stay away from the bad carbohydrates being turned into unwanted fat.

2) Sugary carbohydrates cannot be worked off as fast they need to be and it turns into fat. This lessens the amount of muscle that you start off with. If you want to have some type of carbohydrate, eat it for breakfast because it is just the start of the day and it can be worked off throughout the day.

3) Most people that are working on their body mass forget about what is most important: vegetables. Without vegetables, you are missing out on a lot of different vitamins, fiber, and minerals that you need to stay healthy. Without having vegetables in your diet, digesting any types of food is harder on the body. Eating your vegetables can help boost your metabolism, which will help with getting rid of fat easier.

4) There are many people that skip breakfast. This is a huge mistake when you want to gain muscle mass. By eating a large breakfast, you will have the energy to burn it off throughout the day instead of waiting until night to add all the energy and turning it into fat when you sleep.

5) Make sure you eat throughout the day so your body is not starving. When you let your body go that long it tends to want more of the processed sugars and makes you crave the food your body doesn’t really need. When trying to build muscle you need to eat six small meals throughout the day instead of three huge meals to keep the energy flowing so your body doesn’t slow down. If you don’t eat regularly the food will not get digested right.

6) When it comes to eating it does not mean you need to eat everything in sight to keep the hunger away. You need to make sure that the quality of the food you eat is high and full of good things if you do not want to lose a large amount of muscle.
